A traditional Rhone Valley blend, and with good reason! We really like all three of these varieties, but blended together the final product is a complex mixture of the prettier fruity and floral characteristics with more intriguing earthy, herbal and spicy notes that reveal themselves as the wine opens up in the glass. Very minimal oak is used on this wine because the varietal characteristics of each grape truly have more than enough to offer. This wine is a blend of 50% Grenache, 33% Syrah, and 17% Mourvedre and is fruity, floral, and savory all in one. Blueberry, plum, and cherry pie are complimented by sweet floral notes, fresh herbs, and a pleasant meatiness that adds a touch of funky complexity. Very well developed tannins lend body and generous texture.
