Our Estate Vineyard sits at 1500 feet elevation in the heart of Amador County's Shenandoah Valley. The Zinfandel blocks span over 10 acres of land with granitic soils and rolling hills of varying slope and aspect. Seven different clonal selections were planted throughout the vineyard to promote the versatility of the grape and later the complexity of the wine. This Estate Zinfandel is our flagship style, which emphasizes the grape's varietal character and is full of spice and brambly fruit.
Wonderful complexity is this full-bodied wine's strong point, from aromas of wild berries, sage, dried meat and tobacco to mouthfilling flavors of raspberry, strawberry and mint. Full body and light tannins form a structure that nicely supports the cornucopia of flavors. - JIM GORDON, Wine Enthusiast Magazine 93 points, Editor's Choice
