Amador Cellars and vineyards are located in the heart of Amador County’s lush Shenandoah Valley wine country. At 1500 feet elevation on soils derived from decomposed granite, with warm days and cool nights, our Mediterranean varieties are right at home. The winery sits atop a beautiful 22 acre site with 16 acres under wine grape. Our Estate vineyards are planted to six Mediterranean varieties including: Zinfandel, Tempranillo, Mourvedre, Grenache, Aglianico and Sauvignon Blanc. Our vineyards are farmed sustainably to yield small crops of extraordinary tasting fruit. The perfect beginning to vinting great wines.

Additionally we use wine grape from select neighboring vineyards with reputations for growing super-premium wine grape from which we produce vineyard designated wines. Our motto is simple- start with high quality wine grape and you can make high quality wine.
