2003 Chardonnay One of our best sellers, this light, friendly wine is a must for your wine bar and ready for consumption now.  Crisp, fruity, with just a touch of oak this wine is great with appetizers and light food fare. $14.00
     
2004 Chardonnay  The grape for this wine came from Calaveras County.  It is 100% Chardonnay, barrel fermented and aged sur lees (over the yeast) for 8 months in neutral French Oak.  It has a delightful creamy texture with light citrus, pear and apple flavors.  Best served chilled at 50-55 degrees. $16.00
     
2005 Barbera  Delicious, dark and rich in flavor with notes of currants, blackberry and a hint of cocoa. A refreshing mouth feel due to the supple tannins and zippy acidity. Fruit from the Lyman Vineyard about a mile southwest of the winery in beautiful Amador country. $20.00
     
2002 Zinfandel  This wine was produced from our Estate Grown Zinfandel.  Delicious ripe fruit and the use of 30 days extended maceration (wine stays in contact with skin and seeds) were key to this wine's character.  It offers developed fruit flavors of blackberry, bramble and licorice enhanced with smooth tannins and notes of vanilla from aging in American Oak barrels for 20 months.  Our Zinfandel is an excellent accompaniment to grilled meats and tomato-based dishes and pairs well with other bold and spicy foods. $18.00
     
2003 Zinfandel  A lighter than "big" Zin charmer to be enjoyed with everyday fare!  Produced from 100% Estate grown Zinfandel!  Pleasant aromas and tastes of spice, briar and blackberry.  Nice balance - a wine to be quaffed with cheese burgers, tacos, pastas and your favorite simple foods. $16.00
     
2004 Zinfandel, Rocky Point Vineyard  A powerhouse of a Zin and a Tasting Room favorite!  Exuberant wild berry, pepper & spice aromas and flavor.  The wine is well balanced with layers of tannins, a touch of oak, and a kiss of sweetness.  A true Amador Country Big Zin! Grown in a section of our estate vineyard called Rocky Point in the heart of Amador County. $24.00
     
2004 Zinfandel, West  Big and rich, with layers of black berry, currants, cherry & spice & pepper.  A bit more American oak than our Rocky Point Zin with firm tannins and without residual sugar but in every other way another Amador County Big Zin!  Grown on the west side of our estate vineyard in the heart of Amador County. $30.00
     
2005 Zinfandel, Rocky Point Vineyard  A rustic and refreshing Zinfandel with simple form and function. Zesty wild berry, black currants and spice flavors with a hint of chocolate. Soft tannins and good acidity to give structure. A great food wine! Estate grown and producted in the heart of Amador country, as with all our Zinfandels. $20.00
     
2005 Zinfandel, West  A rustic, oaky Zinfandel with firm tannins. Aromas and taste of blackberry, currant and cherry with spice and a hint of chocolate and coffee. This wine should be paired with food - a juicy BBQ steak or a good piece of cheese. Good structure from layered tannins from both fruit and American oak will allow this wine to age nicely. Will benefit from 2 to 5 years of bottle aging. Can be enjoyed now with BBQ meats and spicy foods $24.00
     
2003 Syrah  Rich and full bodied, this wine was produced from grape grown in our Shenandoah Valley neighborhood and is a blend of young and old vineyards.  The grape was destemmed and crushed into small bins for fermentation, then pressed into French and American oak for barrel aging.  This wine is impressive for its dark color and rich aroma.  There is plenty of fruit with soft tannins and a touch of oak.  It exhibits a delicious array of berry flavors with hints of violet, cinnamon and grapefruit.  The wine has some tartaric acid crystallization typical of country-style wine.  Enjoy now through 2007 with cheeses, grilled meats and pasta. $18.00
     
2004 Syrah  Dark and immense with flavors of dusty berry, beef, anise & blueberry muffin and with a whiff of toasted marshmallow. One of our favorites! Soft tannins, smooth acidity and big fruit, combine to give this wine a welcoming mouth feel. The grapes are grown in our neighborhood in the heart of Amador country. Enjoy with roasted lamb, pork and prime rib and appetizers and of course by itself. $25.00
     
2005 Syrah  Dark, earthy and complex, with flavors of black currant, mixed berry, violet, beef & pepper with hints of peppermint. Fine tannins and soft mouth feel from aging in American and French oak for 20 months. The grapes are grown in our neighborhood and the heart of Amador country. $22.00
     
2004 Rapscallion  This big, chewy wine is a blend of our 2004 Syrah (17%) and our 2004 Zinfandel (83%).  Lots of dark berry flavors and firm tannins create a good mouth feel and a delightful finish.  Serve this by itself or with dishes with robust flavors. $20.00
     
Rhone Valley Varietals
2006 Reserve, GSM - Grenache Noir, Syrah & Mourvedre This wine Reserve is a blend of the above 3 listed Amador County grown varieties blended in the traditional style of the Southern Rhone Valley of France. The Grenache Noir and Mourvedre were harvested as a field blend and fermented together and aged in neutral oak for one year then blended with Syrah to create equal portions of each just prior to bottling. This wine is loaded with bright juicy fruit aromas and tastes of berries, plums and figs. There is also lots of spicy character and a touch of earthiness and wild game. This wine goes well with many popular food styles such as Californian and Mediterranean cuisine.
